Quality springs last 7-10 years or about 20,000 cycles. The cheap ones only last 10,000 cycles.

Salt air causes corrosion on standard springs, reducing their lifespan. That's why I use higher-grade springs designed for coastal environments.
Is it safe to use my door with a broken spring?
No. Your door is extremely heavy without the spring counterbalance. You could hurt yourself or damage the opener. Don't use it until it's fixed.
Can I open my door manually if the spring is broken?
You can try, but it will be very heavy (80-100kg). Be careful and get help. Better to wait for me to fix it.
